The Lady Adventurer

Costuming shenanigans

New Adventures

Welcome to the Lady Adventurer, designed to record my sewing efforts.  I mostly costume for the Renaissance and Victorian periods, but occasionally something different comes down the pike.  So why costume?  Well, several years ago I joined the Renaissance dance troupe, the Merrie Pryanksters.  They danced at faire, and if I was going to dance with them, I certainly needed to be well dressed.  Through renfaires and dancing, it was no great leap to the Great Dickens Christmas Faire, upon which I needed Victorian garb.  Since my start at faire costume, I’ve tried to be more and more period accurate, although I still use my sewing machine for everything I can get away with, and many of these things are altered for greater fun in dancing.  Enjoy!
